At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed her second season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Swimming and Diving team, where she competes in the backstroke…Holds the school records in both the 100 back (57.58) and the 200 back (2:04.26)...2013-14: All-SCIAC in both the 100 and 200 back (as well as the 200 and 400 medley relays)...SCIAC All-Academic team...Finished second at the SCIAC Championships in both the 100 and the 200 back, with school record times in both (57.58 in the 100, 2:04.26) in the 200...Swam the backstroke leg for the medley relay teams at SCIAC Championships, finishing second in the 200 (1:46.82) and third in the 400 (3:55.17)...2012-13: Set a school record in the 200 back at the SCIAC Championships, earning a second place finish with a 2:06.16...Also earned all-SCIAC honors in the 100 back with a 58.19, placing third and moving into second on the Sagehen all-time list...High School: Attended Dreher High School in Columbia, South Carolina, where she competed on the swimming team…Was an all-area, all-region and all-state selection in the 100 back…Named team captain, and team MVP…Earned The State Swimmer of the Year honor for three straight years…An AP Scholar with distinction in the classroom…Also swam for the CHRS club team, earning all-state honors and qualifying for the states and senior sectionals…Personal: Attending Pomona College, where she majors in public policy analysis/sociology ("I love how interdisciplinary my major is; I not only learn how to analyze policy from different perspectives but I also take classes and learn from students across three disciplines-sociology, economics, and politics)…Lists Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to American Politics, Contemporary Asian American Issues, and Beginning Ballet as the most interesting courses she has taken while at Pomona...Has two brothers...Spent the summer (2014) doing research in Vietnam with Professor Hung Thai as part of a SURP...Involved with various extracurricular activities at Pomona, including AARC, AAMP, InterVarsity, AdBoard, Project Sharing and Caring, and Leadership 4/7
