At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed her senior season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Swimming team, where she competed in the butterfly and the backstroke...Ranks seventh in program history in the 100-yard backstroke with a personal best time of 1:00.28, and eighth in school history in the 100-yard butterfly (59.06)...Part of a school record 200-yard medley relay team (1:46.67 in the 2013 SCIAC Championships)...2013-14: CSCAA Scholar All-America team honorable mention...SCIAC All-Academic team...Won the consolation heat at the SCIAC Championships in the 200 back with a time of 2:13.15, earning 10th place overall...Also finished 11th at the SCIAC Championships in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.83...Swam a 59.06 in the 100 fly at SCIACs to move into the top 10 (eighth) in school history...2012-13: SCIAC All-Academic team selection...Helped the Pomona-Pitzer 200 medley relay team win the SCIAC title with a school-record time of 1:46.67..Also came in 14th in the 100 back with a 1:02.25...2011-12: Part of a 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:38.24) and a 200-yard medley realy team (1:49.27) that both took second at the SCIAC championships...Had a 1:00.82 in the prelims of the 100-yard butterfly at the SCIAC's...Came in second in the consolation finals of the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.57...Had a 2:12.81 in the 200-yard backstroke to place 11th...High School: Attended Convent of the Visitation School in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, where she competed on the swimming team...Was a four-time all-conference and all-state honoree...Named team captain as a junior and senior, while earning the Most Dedicated Award as a senior...Class salutatorian and member of the honor roll...Personal:  Attending Pomona College, where she has a dual major in Spanish and psychology...Has one sister...Hobbies include spending time with friends and family, reading, going to Last Drop Cafe, and spending time outside (especially by lakes)...Favorite athletes are the Minnesota Twins...Lists The Poisonwood Bible, the Harry Potter series, and La Sombra del Viento as her favorite books...Lists “Saints and Society” with Ken Wolf (History) and “Don Quixote and Cultural Identity” with José Cartagena-Calderón (Spanish) as the most interesting courses she has taken while at Pomona...Academic All-America candidate...Considering possible careers in education or clinical psychology after graduation...Miracle is her favorite movie...Volunteered with LINC Tutoring at Oakmont Elementary through Pomona’s Draper Center...Spent the summer (2012) researching costumbrismo, a genre of Spanish literature with a professor from Pomona, a project highlighted by the chance to work with original books from the 1840s and 1850s...Born March 13, 1992.
