At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his senior season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Swimming team, where he competes in the backstroke...Ranks eighth in school history in the 200 back with a 2:00.77, set in 2011...2013-14: SCIAC All-Academic team...Finished in 12th place in the SCIAC Championships in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:02.00...2012-13: SCIAC All-Academic team selection...Swam a 55.89 in the 100-yard backstroke at SCIAC Championships, good for 12th place...Also clocked a 2:02.57 in the 200 back on his way to an 11th place finish...2011-12: Competed in the 200-yard backstroke at the SCIAC Championships, finishing with a 2:04.35...High School: Attended Albuquerque (N.M.) Academy, where he competed on the swimming team...Personal: Attends Pitzer College, where he has a dual major in political studies and environmental analysis, as well as a minor in Spanish...Has a particular interest in environmental policy...Lists "US Environmental Policy" as the most interesting course he has taken while at Pitzer...Spent the summer of 2013 as the head coach of a summer swim program of 80 kids ("Building up a program is no easy task and I had to make mistakes to learn where my weaknesses were. The take away message for my experience is that you have to push yourself to be better every single day. Set the bar a little higher everyday and see if you can reach it.
