At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his senior season on the Sagehens Swimming team, where he competes in the 100-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle...Part of a school record relay team in the 800-yard freestyle (6:50.59)...Ranks sixth in school history in the 200 free (1:43.92)...2014-15: All-SCIAC in 800 free relay...Helped the Sagehens to a second place finish at the SCIAC Championships in the 800 free relay with a 6:50.59, breaking a school record which had held since 1988...Finished 14th at SCIACs in the 200 free with a 1:44.04 and in the 500 free with a 4:46.96...Won his last race, swimming the anchor leg of the 400 free relay which won the consolation finals at SCIACs by .34 over CMS...2013-14: SCIAC All-Academic team...All-SCIAC in the 400-yard freestyle relay...Helped the Sagehens set a school record in the 400-yard freestyle relay at the SCIAC Championships with a 3:06.70, earning a third-pace finish...Came in fifth at SCIACs in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:44.07 after finishing sixth in prelims with a 1:44.54...Also finished 12th at SCIACs in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:47.82 and 18th in the 100-yard freestyle with a 47.98...2012-13: SCIAC All-Academic team selection...Reached the finals of the 200-yard freestyle at the SCIAC Championships...Finished fifth with a top time of 1:43.92, which ranks fifth in program history...Swam a top time of 47.68 in the 100 (finishing 13th) and 4:48.30 in the 500 (finishing 13th)...2011-12: Qualified for the finals in the 200-yard freestyle at the SCIAC Championships, finishing eighth with a time of 1:44.92...Also competed in the 500 at the SCIACs, earning a time of 4:53.32...Finished in first place in the 200 with a 1:51.04 in his first collegiate dual (a win over Whittier)...High School: Attended the Randolph School in Huntsville, Alabama, where he competed on the Raiders Swimming team...Was a two-time team MVP and won the Coach's Award three times...Competed in the state championships on the varsity team for six years (7th-12th grade)...A member of the Cum Laude Society and National Honors Society, as well as earning AP Scholar with Honor and National Merit Finalist distinction...Also competed for the Huntsville Swim Association...Personal: Attending Pomona College, where he majors in computer science, with a particular interest in technology in medicinte and applications for computer science in public health and medical research...Minoring in chemistry...Has one brother...Academic All-America candidate...Plans to attend medical school after graduation...Volunteered with an organization called Support for International Change in northern Tanzania for two months in the summer of 2012, teaching about HIV/AIDS in a rural village...Interned in the summer of 2013 at UAB Medical school coding for glaucoma research...Tutors elementary school children as part of CLASP (Claremont After School Program).
