CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Pomona-Pitzer Football team will try to push their winning streak to three this weekend as they travel to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponent Cal Lutheran on Saturday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m.
Pomona-Pitzer is coming off of a 35-7 landslide victory on the road over Chapman University last time out.
Sophomore quarterback Edward Sias is third in the SCIAC with 246.7 passing yards per game and fifth in the conference in touchdowns with four.
Junior running back Aseal Birir is second in the conference in rushing with 107.3 yards per game on the ground and Birir has tallied more than 150 all-purpose yards in each of his first three games this season.
The Sagehens also have the most interceptions as a team this season with eight, including a record five interceptions in their last win against Chapman.
Cal Lutheran is 1-2 overall and coming off of a 45-13 win over La Verne in their game.
The Kingsmen are led by quarterback Adam Friederichsen who ranks second in the SCIAC in passing yards per game with 280.7. His favorite target, Aaron Lacombe, currently leads the conference in receiving yards per game at 127.7 and also has the most receiving touchdowns this season with five.
