REDLANDS, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Football team won their third place SCIAC week 10 game 12-0 over Redlands on Saturday afternoon at Ted Runner Stadium.
Season Impact: with the win, the Sagehens end the year with 5-5 overall record and 3-4 in SCIAC play.
The Sagehens were led by
Nick Kim who went 9-15 for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Brennan Dragomer led the rushing attack with 21 carries for 67 yards and
Jackson Walker led the receivers a with 23 yards and a touchdown.
The defense stepped up for the Sagehens in the win with two interceptions, a fumble and a safety in the win.
Leo Ryals led the team with 13 total tackles while
Alden Kling had two sacks and
Jacob Whiting with three. Ryals also forced a fumble wile
Colin Miller and
Samuel Wyatt each came away with an interception.
Not a lot of action on offense by either team in this game as the Sagehens went on to force their first shutout of the season against the Bulldogs. Pomona-Pitzer did all of its scoring in the second quarter where they racked up all 12 of their points.
Jack Walker got the scoring going as he connected on a 19-yard field goal to put the Sagehens up 3-0 early in the quarter.
The Sagehens then scored the only touchdown of the day as Kim found Walker for 22 yards to take a 10-0 lead. Shortly after the touchdown, the Sagehen defense added a score off of a safety and added two more to the total to make it 12-0 at halftime.
The Sagehen defense continued to cause fits for the Redlands'' offense in the second half completing their shutout and claiming third place for the Sagehens for the 2025 season.
