Pomona-Pitzer Athletics

Rachelcame to Pomona after being accepted also at ClaremontMcKenna, UC San Diego, UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara.

Rachelenjoys running for the "Hilly trails and theirviews.  And quarters on the track."

Sheenjoys the Pomona-Pitzer women's cross country team for two mainreasons: "Chirping at the starting line and the annual teampicture."

2009 Highlights:Rachel ran 19:37 at the UC Irvine meet to finish second on theteam, then ran 19:20 at the UC Riverside meet to finish third onthe squad. Rachel clocked 25:13 over 6000 meters at the home WestRegion Preview Meet to finish fifth on the team on Oct. 3. Rachelran a PR 24:08 at the SCIAC Multi-Dual meet to finish fourth on theteam, then clocked 24:37 at the SCIAC Championships to again finishfourth on the team and 20th overall -- earning Second Team AllConference honors. Rachel also took fourth on the team at the homeNCAA West Regional meet. She finished 35th in 24:01 to earnAll-Region honors.

2008 Highlights: Ran 23:30 in the UC Irvine 5k,then ran 27:22 in the Redlands 6000m Invite. Ran 22:49 in the UCRiverside Invite in late September. Finished 67th in themid-October SCIAC Multi-Duals in 26:34. Finished 69th at the SCIACChampionships in 27:39.
