Summary

Biography

Annie came to Pomona after being accepted also at Middlebury, Georgetown, Lewis and Clark.

Annie loves to run because "I love how I feel after a workout. While you are running, it can feel incredibly difficult, but if you can elevate yourself above the pain then the post-workout high is totally worth it."

Annie likes the Pomona-Pitzer women's cross country team because "I like how the team has really started to become a family. As cheesy as it sounds, the support from the other girls really helps you get through both tough workouts and tough days in general."

2010 highlights:
Annie ran #1 on the team the entire season. She opened her season with an 18:40 5k time at UC Irvine, good for 7th place overall. Next Annie clocked an 18:09 5k time at the UC Riverside meet. In her first-ever 6000m race at home in the early October Pomona-Pitzer Invite, Annie took 2nd place in 22:22. Annie then won the SCIAC Multi-Duals 6k in 22:08 before placing 2nd in the SCIAC Championships in 23:05. Her combined finishes in the Multi-Duals and the Championships earned Annie the 2010 SCIAC Runner of the Year honor. In Oregon at the West Regional meet in November, Annie became only the second Pomona-Pitzer woman to win the individual title as she defeated 118 other regional foes to win in 21:51. Her victory gave her 2010 West Region Runner of the Year honors, and she earned a berth to the NCAA Division III National Championships in Iowa.

2009 highlights:
Annie opened her season at the UC Riverside Invite by running 19:41, the fifth-fastest time on the team. Injured the remainder of the season.
