Annieapplied Early Decision II to Pomona. "What I love aboutrunning is the combination between the individual and the team. Itcan be such a personal challenge fueled by a strong motivation toimprove while having the support of a community of girls with onecommon interest."

Annie loves the Pomona-Pitzerteam because "I love that the women on the PPXC team come from suchdifferent backgrounds and running experiences, and we get to sharethe experience of exploring a new place with beautiful mountainruns, trails, and race courses."

2009highlights:
Annie ran 21:29 at the UC Irvine Invitational in her firstcollegiate race as a Sagehen. Ran 20:45 at the UC Riverside Invite.Annie then clocked 26:17 over 6000 meters at the home West RegionPreview Meet on Oct. 3. Annie ran a PR 25:43 at the SCIACMulti-Duals to finish 7th on the team, and then ran 27:04 at theSCIAC Championships to finish 10th on the team.
