Biography

Claire chose Pomona after also being accepted at ClaremontMcKenna, Occidental, USC and UC Riverside.

She loves running "because I love competing, and I love how youfeel like you can accomplish anything after a good race or hardworkout." She loves the Pomona-Pitzer women's cross country teamfor its "camaraderie, and our ability to have fun doing anything,even aqua jogging. I love our can-do attitude and our common desire to work hard."

2009Highlights: Claire ran 25:51 at the SCIAC Multi-Duals tofinish eighth on the team, and then clocked 27:41 at the SCIACChampionships at Prado Park.

2008Highlights: Ran 21:14easily at UC Riverside in her first race back from surgery.Finished 49th in the mid-October SCIAC Multi-Duals in 25:22.

2007 Highlights: Ran second on the team at theUC Irvine meet, and second again at the Redlands Invite, finishingthe 6000m course in 23:42 to finish eighth overall. Led the team atthe UC Riverside Invite, clocking a strong 18:56 over 5k to finish60th out of 223 finishers. Ran second on the team in both the SCIACMulti-Duals (25:30) and SCIAC Championships (23:31) -- with thesecond race's 8th place finish earning her First Team All-SCIAChonors. Was one of two Sagehens at the West Regional meet, whereshe ran 23:54 to finish 50th out of 114 runners.

2006 Highlights: Despite being injured most ofthe season, ran 25:10 at the SCIAC Multi-Duals to finish fifth onthe team in 23rd place.
