Rachelcame to Pitzer after also being accepted to Connecticut College,Goucher College, Guilford College, and St. Mary's College ofMaryland.

"Runninggives me a designated time every day to work on my health andfitness, reflect on life, and bond with friends.," she says.

Rachelloves the Pomona Pitzer team because it "isa non-stressful and supportive running environment, and manages to motivateeach runner to go that little bit fasterwithout unwanted pressure."

2009 highlights: Ran 24:50 inher initial college race at UC Irvine, then dropped her time to23:40 at the UC Riverside Invite. Rachel then clocked 30:56 over6000 meters at the home West Region Preview Meet on Oct. 3. Ran33:17 at the SCIAC Championships to finish 16th on the team.
