Biography

Claire chose Pomona after being accepted also at Haverford,Carleton, Scripps, Bryn Mawr and Colorado College. "My favoritepart of running (other than the endorphin rush) is overcoming thelimits you thought you had." She enjoys the Pomona-Pitzer women'scross country team because, "The team is so enthusiastic andencouraging. It's hard to have a bad day in such a positiveatmosphere."

2009 highlights: Claire ran 24:47 in herinitial college race at UC Irvine, finishing 12th on the team.Followed that up with a 22:41 at the UC Riverside Invite. She thenclocked 29:43 over 6000 meters at the home West Region Preview Meeton Oct. 3. Claire finished the season with a 31:22 at the SCIACChampionships to finish 15th on the team.
