THOUSAND OAKS, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer lacrosse team earned another dominate victory over SCIAC opponents, defeating Cal Lutheran 23-1 on the road, advancing to 9-1 on the season and 6-0 in the conference. Both Fiona Lewis and Sydney Landauer earned hat tricks against the Regals while Eloise Cherian, Caroline Donegan, Shoshi Henderson, Ellie Kruse, and Regan Schunk all recorded two goals. Henderson was also a catalyst for the attack, dishing out four assists in the game. Seven different Sagehens also found the back of the net to contribute to the win over the Regals. 

Pomona-Pitzer played well on both sides of the field, recording 41 shots with 36 on goal while finding the back of the net 23 times. The Sagehens held Cal Lutheran to just two shots on the day with one goal and earned a 19-9 advantage on draw controls. The Sagehens ended the day with 17 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. 

The Sagehens scored just 28 seconds into the contest with Shoshi Henderson finding Sydney Landauer who struck the back of the net to make it 1-0. Henderson earned another assist just 17 seconds later, this time finding Hannah Gough to make it 2-0. Henderson found her first goal of the game a minute and 15 seconds later to give the Sagehens a 3-0 lead. From there, the Sagehens continued to control the game, making their way to an 11-0 lead by the end of the first quarter with goals from Landauer, Ellie Kruse, Eloise Cherian, and Fiona Lewis.  

Pomona-Pitzer scored four more unanswered goals off the sticks of Cherian, Gwynn Sullivan, Tess McHugh, and Shelby Stanton, extending the lead to 15-0 heading into the halftime break. Regan Schunk scored nearly five minutes into the third quarter to make it 16-0 but the game went scoreless for until the Regals scored their only goal of the game with 6:39 left to play in the third. The Sagehens slowed things down a bit, scoring seven goals down the stretch to coast to the 23-1 victory over Cal Lutheran.
