CLAREMONT, Calif. — River Buechner and Shelby Stanton of the Pomona-Pitzer women's lacrosse team earned Division III Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators.
 
The CSC Academic All-District and All-America Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. Nomination for the award requires meeting minimum standards of both athletic participation and cumulative grade point average. 
 
Buechner and Stanton were key players on a Sagehen team that won its fifth consecutive SCIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. Pomona-Pitzer defeated CMS in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Trinity College in the Round of 16.
