SAN DIEGO, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer men's track and field team competed in the 15th Annual PLNU Track & Field Invitational on Saturday. The Sagehens will be back in action on Apr. 1 when they travel to Occidental for a multi dual starting at 10:00 a.m.
In the 4 x 100m relay, Ayodele Cole, Kirby Lam, Jake Hallesy, and Chris Taylor combined for a time of 43.24 seconds. In the 400m, Sam Butler turned in a sub-50 performance, crossing the line in 49.75 seconds to take fourth place. In the 100m, Chris Taylor led the Sagehens after running a 10.76 second race to take fourth overall. Ayodele Cole took 11th in the event, running the 100m in 11.03s. Jake Hallesy took ninth in the 200m with a time of 22.56 seconds with Harrison Brown and Sam Butler both showing well with times of 22.79 and 22.82 seconds.
In the javelin, William Marquart threw 40.40m to finish in eighth place. Eze Iheanacho took 11th in the event with a 36.01m throw. Marquart also led the Sagehens in the shot put, throwing 12.28m to take seventh while Ryan Aubrey took eighth with a 12.27m throw. Erubey Lopez took eighth in the high jump with a 1.66m clearance. In the long jump, Kirby Lam took second with a jump of 6.78m. Euan Kang took 14th with a 5.80m jump. Kang took fourth in the triple jump with a 12.92m mark. Aiden Karpf took ninth in the event with a jump of 12.29m.
