Men's Track and Field Posts Numerous Personal Bests at Pomona-Pitzer Invite

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Competing at home among 1400 athletes, Pomona-Pitzer's men's track and field team recorded numerous personal bests at the 2026 Pomona-Pitzer Track & Field Invite on Strehle Track. 

Junior Gavin Doig clocked a strong 10.59 in the 100 meters for third place - his second best time in the sprint event - while teammate Ezra Satran recorded a 10.79 for ninth. JT Bard ran a rarely-run 400m/1500m double and clocked personal bests in both (49.87 / 3:53.72 for fifth). Fox Kloske and Sam Butler took 18th and 19th in the 400m with times of 50.42 and 50.47, respectively. Owen Irving took 10th in the 1500m with a 3:55.62.

Raffi Charkoudian-Rogers earned 15th place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.37, and Pherell Washington followed in 17th with 16.76. Sam Butler placed 23rd in the 200m with a time of 22.59. Pomona-Pitzer placed 4th in the 4x100 relay with a time of 42.12.

Senior thrower Will Marquart took second place in the shot put at 53-3.75, fifth in the discus at 145-6, and eighth in the javelin at 166-10. Carson Knautz earned 27th in the pole vault with a mark of 8'8.25". Matthew Yang placed 11th and Ezra Satran 20th in the long jump with 21'0.5" and 20'3". Euan Kang placed 20th in the triple jump with 39'6.5" and Loren Sund took 24th with 37'10.75"
 
The men's team will send athletes to both the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invite and the La Verne Leopard Invite this coming weekend.
