LA VERNE, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer men's track and field posted a series of strong performances at the La Verne Leopard Invitational.
Fox Kloske earned a fifth-place finish in the 400m, clocking a personal-best time of 49.92. Sam Butler followed in fifth with a 50.55.
Owen Irving posted a top-10 finish in the 5000m, placing seventh with a personal-best time of 14:37.32.
Amir Barkan followed in 14th with a 14:52.66.
In the 800m,
Eddie Monson clocked a PR of 1:56.75 to place 14th.
Alexander Doty followed in 17th (1:57.63),
Alejandro Stefan Rojas Pratt in 19th (1:58.32) and
Kye Toothaker in 21st (1:58.63).
Nate Wehner took 24th in the 1500m with a time of 4:08.67, and Toothaker followed in 30th with 4:12.04. Wehner also placed 28th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:46.73.
In the triple jump,
Euan Kang earned a runner-up finish after jumping 12.43m.
Loren Sund took third at 11.98m. In the javelin,
John Goodwin finished seventh with a mark of 43.85m. Ome Zuniga earned a 10th place finish in the discus with a mark of 24.98m.
