Box Score THOUSAND OAKS, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer lacrosse team extended their win streak to six games with a 21-1 blowout against the California Lutheran Regals. The Sagehens have now scored 121 goals on the season. Sydney Landauer led the team with five goals and one assist while Shoshi Henderson tallied four goals and dished out six assists. Maggie Sweeney also recorded a hat trick in the contest. The Sagehens will continue their road stretch on Mar. 26 to take on the Occidental Tigers at 11:00 a.m.
How It Happened
The Sagehens dominate from the opening whistle, finding the nylon three times in the first minute of play with goals from Henderson, Landauer, and Sweeney. Overall, the Sagehens tallied 12 goals in the first quarter with Grace Warner, Ellie Kruse, Caroline Worthington, and Steffi Larson all scoring for Pomona-Pitzer.
Pomona-Pitzer continued to attack in the second quarter as Landuaer and Henderson went back and forth to score two goals apiece and give the Sagehens a 16-0 lead heading into halftime. Landauer scored her fifth goal of the game in the third quarter with Hannah Hough assisting on the play. The Regals found their lone goal minutes later, but the Sagehens saw goals from Emma Clark, Regan Schunk, and Tess Mchugh in the fourth to cap off the 21-1 victory.
