The Warriors opened up the game with a three to take their first lead, but the Sagehens' offense came out firing and started off with an 18-2 run to take a 13-point lead inside the first five minutes of play.  The Sagehens extended that lead to 28-10 with 12:43 left in the first half after only missing two shots up to that point in the game. Pomona-Pitzer cooled off later in the first half but still managed to put up 49 points in the first half and went into the locker room with a 49-29 lead.

The Warriors played much better on both sides of the ball in the second half and actually outscored the Sagehens 39-34.  Westcliff hit four of their nine threes in the second half and shot 46.4% from the field while the Sagehens held just a slight advantage just over the 50% mark.  The Warriors began to make a dent in the Sagehens' large lead and cut it down to 13 points at 66-43 with 11:26 left to play, but the Sagehens stopped any large runs from the Westcliff offense and rode their big lead to a comfortable win at home.

Up Next: The Sagehens will break for the holidays and return to action on December 29th as they host non-conference opponent Lake Forest at 5:00 p.m.
