CLAREMONT, CA—On March 25, 2011 the Sagehens brought home a win against the Linfield Wildcats beating them 22-5.
Pomona-Pitzer's offense came out strong scoring five goals in the first five minutes of the game. The Sagehens offense did not let up, ending the first half leading 17-3, before the final score of 22-5. Leading scorers of the game were Martha Marich and Logan Galansky who both had five goals. Hannah T'Kindt added three goals, while Jenny Miner, Jana London, and Kaitlin Jones chipped in with two, and Emmay Molloy, Emily Haynes, and captain and leading defender Maddy Noble tallied one.
The Sagehen defense also played a strong role in keeping the Linfield Wildcats out. The Wildcats had only ten shots on goal. Goalie, Casey Leek rounded out the game with five saves. This is a good win for the Sagehens who face Pacific on Monday (3/28) and Occidental on Wednesday (3/30) of this upcoming week.
