CLAREMONT, CA - In the bottom of the first Ali Corley blasted a two run homerun over the center field fence to give the Sagehens a 2-0 lead over La Verne. It wasn't enough. Leopard rallies in the fifth and the seventh gave La Verne the 7-2 win.

In the bottom of the first Caitlyn Hynes singled up the middle to bring up Corley who hit a one out homer. In the third the Leopards tied it up with a single and a fielder's choice. Then, in the fifth La Verne homered to give the Leopards a 4-2 lead. In the seventh walks and hits gave La Verne three more runs. Though the Sagehens loaded the bases twice, they could not put any more runs on the board and fell 7-2.
