CLAREMONT, CA. – The Sagehens split the double header vs. La Verne, winning 10–2 in game one and falling 5-9 in game two.

Game One
Sagehens 0, Redlands 10
The Sagehens were held scoreless on six hits in the contest. Natalie Murguia led the way with a 2-for-3 performance, including a double, while Maya Grande added a perfect 2-for-2 showing at the plate. Kylie Liu and Gianna Phillips also contributed a hit each to round out the offensive effort. Despite putting runners on throughout the game, Pomona-Pitzer was unable to capitalize, leaving seven runners on base. In the circle, Pomona-Pitzer used a three-pitcher effort in the contest. Mia Lopez took the loss, allowing four runs on two hits with two walks over 0.1 innings. Nyla Springer followed, surrendering four runs on four hits and three walks in 0.2 innings of work. Audrey Reimers provided stability in relief, tossing 3.0 innings while giving up two runs—none earned—on six hits, while striking out three.
Redlands struck early in the opening inning, using a three-run home run followed by timely hitting and walks to plate five runs and take a commanding 5–0 lead. The Bulldogs continued to build momentum in the second inning, adding three more runs on a two-RBI single and capitalizing on a wild pitch to extend the advantage to 8–0. From there, the Sagehens were unable to generate a response offensively despite scattering hits across multiple innings. Redlands added two more runs in the fourth, taking advantage of a defensive miscue to push the lead to 10–0. The Sagehens put runners on throughout the game, including multiple-hit efforts in the middle innings, but were unable to break through as Redlands held on to secure the 10–0 victory.
Game Two
Sagehens 7, Redlands 9
The Sagehens produced seven runs on 13 hits in a balanced offensive effort. Marie Milton led the way with a 3-for-4 performance, including a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored. Sophia Roberts also turned in a strong day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Claire Sefkow added two hits, while Kylie Liu contributed an RBI and a run scored. Sadie Huryn reached base multiple times, scoring once and driving in a run, while Gianna Phillips delivered a key two-RBI performance, including a double. Maya Grande chipped in with an RBI of her own, and Audrey Reimers added a hit and a run scored to round out the Sagehens' offensive production. In the circle, Reimers got the start, tossing 3.0 innings while allowing six runs on eight hits with two strikeouts. Nyla Springer followed with 3.0 innings of relief, giving up three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out none.
Redlands struck first, taking advantage of defensive miscues to plate one unearned run and grab an early 1–0 lead. The Bulldogs extended their advantage in the third inning, stringing together five hits to score three runs and make it 4–1. Pomona-Pitzer responded in the fourth, capitalizing on Redlands errors as Reimers stole home and Milton delivered an RBI single to cut the deficit to 4–3. Redlands answered right back in the bottom half of the inning, using timely hitting to push two more runs across and stretch the lead to 6–3. The Sagehens continued to battle, drawing walks and executing situational offense in the fifth as Gianna Phillips drove in two with a double down the line to trim the score to 6–5. Pomona-Pitzer carried that momentum into the sixth inning, tying the game on an RBI single from Huryn before taking a 7–6 lead on a sacrifice fly by Liu. However, the Bulldogs responded once again in the bottom of the inning, capitalizing on a pair of hits and a key two-RBI double to regain control with a three-run frame and a 9–7 advantage. The Sagehens threatened in the seventh with a two-out single, but were unable to complete the comeback as Redlands held on to secure the 9–7 victory.
