CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer softball's
Kylie Liu was named NFCA First Team All-Region, the association announced Friday.
Liu appeared and started in all 40 of the Sagehens' games this season, batting .395 with 45 hits in 114 at-bats. She totaled 32 RBI, scored 28 runs, belted nine home runs, 12 doubles, and drew 25 walks. She posted a season-high five RBI against Lewis & Clark on Feb. 27 and notched two homers against Oneonta on Mar. 18.
A strong defensive player as well, Liu finished the year with a .952 fielding percentage. She posted 143 putouts and 57 assists while helping turn three double plays switching primarily between catcher, third and first base.
