LOS ANGELES, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Tennis team fell to Division 1 opponent USC 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Marks Stadium.
Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens fall to 8-5 overall.
The Sagehens started out with a loss at the doubles competition playing the Division I format. Lauren Rha and Nina Ye fell at #1 doubles 6-2 while Angie Zhou and Marissa Markey fell 6-0 while Janie Marcus and Samantha Moore-Thomson were left unfished at 5-2.
Pomona-Pitzer went on to drop the remaining singles matches as USC clinched with wins at #2, #4, and #6.
Nina Ye fell to McKenna Koenig at #2 singles 6-0, 6-2 while Georgia Ryan put up a good fight at #4 singles but fell to Nathalie Rodilosso 6-4, 6-2. The Trojans went on to clinch at the #6 spot as Janie Marcus fell to Gabrielle Lee 6-2, 6-1.
