CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – No. 16 Lauren Rha of the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship after earning two victories on Friday at the Champions Tennis Club.

Rha opened the day in the Round of 32 with a strong straight-set performance against Karina Elvestrom of Gustavus Adolphus. She controlled the match from the start, securing a 6-3, 6-3 victory to move into the Round of 16. With the First Round win, Rha became an ITA Singles All-American.

Later in the afternoon, Rha battled through a tough three-set match against Lauryn Douglas of Bethel in the Round of 16. After taking the opening set 6-3, Rha dropped the second set 2-6 before regrouping in the decisive third set. She responded with a dominant finish, earning a 6-2 win in the final set to clinch her spot in the national quarterfinals.

With the two victories, Rha continues her postseason run and advances to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship in Chattanooga. The match will take place tomorrow at 11:00 AM EST.
