CLAREMONT, Ca. – The Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field team showed well in the 2023 PP Collegiate All-Comers meet on Strehle track.
One of the key events of the day was the Women's 100 Meter Dash, which saw several members of the Pomona-Pitzer team participate. Khairat Raji ran a time of 13.52 seconds, coming in 15th place. She was followed by Reia Li who finished in 13.57 seconds, in 17th place. Lillie Minskoff came in 21st with a time of 13.79 seconds, while Morgane Monjauze finished in 13.82 seconds, coming in 22nd.
Shanthi Ashley ran a time of 27.27 seconds, coming in 15th place. Olivia Reichle finished in 16th place with a time of 27.28 seconds. Tene Ariyo came in 19th with a time of 27.76 seconds, while Reia Li finished in 20th with a time of 28.10 seconds. In the Women's 400 Meter Dash, Olivia Reichle represented Pomona-Pitzer, finishing in 5th place with a time of 1:03.07. In the 800m, McKayla Proulx finished in 6th place with a time of 2:26.56, while Thea McAfee came in 14th with a time of 2:36.92.
Several Pomona-Pitzer athletes participated in the Women's 1 Mile Run, including Katie Cline who finished in 4th place with a time of 5:10.10. Jenna Lange came in 6th with a time of 5:11.19, while Anna Macdonald finished in 10th place with a time of 5:15.74. Isabel Burger finished in 23rd place with a time of 5:37.29.
The Women's 3000 Meter Run saw several Pomona-Pitzer athletes compete, including Mira Terdiman, a junior, who finished in 15th place with a time of 10:39.16. Alexandra Emerson, a sophomore, came in 19th with a time of 10:57.67, while Chloe Connolly, a sophomore, finished in 26th place with a time of 11:14.54. Lilly Bar, a senior, rounded out the team, finishing in 30th place with a time of 11:18.70.
In the Women's High Jump, Tene Ariyob finished in 2nd place, jumping a height of 1.55m (5-01.00). Natalia Cossio came in 5th place, jumping a height of 1.45m (4-09.00).
Ella Bowers placed 4th in the Women's Long Jump with a distance of 4.90m, and also had a solid showing in the Women's Triple Jump, placing 4th with a distance of 10.43m. Khairat Raji also had a strong showing in both events, placing 6th in the Women's Long Jump with a distance of 4.79m, and 5th in the Women's Triple Jump with a distance of 10.39m.
In the Women's Discus Throw, Sara Anderson placed 8th with a distance of 31.79m, and in the Women's Hammer Throw, she placed 8th with a distance of 34.86m. Zoey Joshlin also had a good showing in the Women's Hammer Throw, placing 22nd with a distance of 25.09m.
In the Women's Javelin Throw, Logan Spoonemore placed 3rd with a distance of 34.11m.
