CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer's women's track & field team took fourth place at the SCIAC Quad Cup Final at CMS Saturday. The Sagehens scored 63 points to finish behind CMS (233), Chapman (167), and Occidental (112) in a regular season SCIAC competition featuring the top four teams in the conference.
Junior Eva Novy-Hildelsey placed second in the 1500m in 4:35.44 - a time that ranks in the top-10 on the NCAA Division III lists this season and #5 all-time in program history. First-year
Rhiannon Root clocked a strong 2:18.78 for second place in the 800m. Junior
Kendall Madine tied for second place in the Steeplechase in a personal best 11:23.27 to record the #3 all-time mark in program history, while first-year
Ella Gary took fourth in a personal best 11:45.65 to record the #7 time in program history.
Senior
Ella Bowers placed third in the Long Jump at 17-2.25", while sophomore
Ellie Chi took third in the Triple Jump at 34'7.5".
The Sagehens do not compete this coming weekend, but return to action on April 11 at the 38th Annual Pomona-Pitzer Track & Field Invite on Strehle Track.
