CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer women's track and field finished second at SCIAC 1 with a total of 159 points.
Eva Novy-Hildesley earned the team's first individual event win in the 800m, clocking a 2:21.39 to win by nearly three seconds. Novy-Hildesley then won the 1500m with a time of 4:45.44 while
Maggie Avey took second with a 4:49.80.
Elizabeth Newman crossed first in the 5000m with a 19:07.04.
In the 3000S,
Kendall Madine placed first with a time of 11:25.85, nearly 40 seconds quicker than second place. The team's 4x400m relay 'A' squad, made up of
Anna Marston,
Kensi Binstadt,
Rhiannon Root and Novy-Hildesley, closed out the track events with a win and a time of 4:02.75.
In the field events,
Natalia Cossio took second in the high jump with a mark of 1.53m.
Siobhan Ong took third in the pole vault after clearing 3.05m.
Felicia Akinde also placed third in the long jump, posting a mark of 5.12m.
