REDLANDS, CA — Pomona-Pitzer's women's track and field team performed well at the Redlands Invitational Meet on Friday.
The Pomona-Pitzer team placed 5th in the 4x100 Relay with a time of 0:50.04. The team consisting of Binstadt, Marston, Chi, and Akinde finished behind Bethel University, who took fourth with 0:48.61.
Kendrick Dahlin earned 14th in the 800 with a time of 2:30.06, and
Sol Gomez took 22nd in the 400 with 1:03.99.
Felicia Akinde and
Ellie Chi placed 18th and 28th in the 100-meter Dash with times of 12.67 and 12.87 seconds, respectively.
Anna Marston earned 35th in the 200-meter Dash with a time of 27.32, and Kensington Binstadt took 37th with 27.62.
In the field events,
Ella Bowers placed 5th in the Triple Jump with 36'1.5", and
Felicia Akinde and
Ellie Chi followed, placing 10th and 13th with 34'1.25" and 33'9.5", respectively.
Elsa Brandt placed 16th in the High Jump with a height of 4'10.5". Akinde also earned 7th in the Long Jump with
a distance of 17'5.5" and Chi followed in 9th with 16'11.5".
Ella Grouws took 12th in the Shot Put with a mark of 25'2". In the High Jump,
Elsa Brandt earned 7th with 4'9" and
Natalia Cossio placed 11th with 4'9". Shiobhan Ong took 9th in the Pole Vault with a mark of 10'6".
