CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Tennis got their fall season underway with the Hen/Athena competition. The Sagehens finished the weekend with a 10 match doubles competition against conference rival CMS with each team taking five wins.
The Sagehens ended with five wins as the doubles team of Angie Zhou and Marissa Markey earned an 8-6 win, Janie Marcus and Amelia Poor came away with an 8-7 win. Pomona-Pitzer went on to take three more wins as Nina Ye and Samantha Moore-Thomson earned a 6-4 win as well as Marcus and Markey with a 6-4 win as well. The Sagehens ended the doubles matches with a 6-3 win from Poor and Rachel Homan.
The Sagehens will continue their fall season with the ITA Fall Regionals on October 1st and 2nd at the Pauley Tennis Complex.
