CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Pomona-Pitzer women's tennis team dropped a close 4-3 battle with Army West Point, taking the point in doubles and two points in singles.
Doubles Results
Jay Kim and Masha Lyven earned a 6-2 victory in their match against Army West Point. Rebecca Salaway and Jacinta Chen dropped their match 6-1 but Georgia Ryan and Yurie Heard battled to pick up the win in their match 6-4, giving the Sagehens the win in doubles.
Single Results
Masha Lyven and Rebecca Salaqay were the lone Sagehens to win singles play against Army West Point. Lyven dropped set one 6-2 but earned a 6-4 decision in set two and a 2-0 win in set three. Salaway won her match with back-to-back 6-3 set victories.
Georgia Ryan fell 6-4 and 6-2 in her match while Melisha Dogra dropped a 7-5 decision in set one and 6-3 in set two. Jay Kim dropped both sets 6-3 and Jacinta Chen fell 6-1 in both sets.
