CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Men's Cross Country teams competed in two meets this weekend as they ran in the Mark Covert Invitational and the Occidental-La Verne-Pomona-Pitzer Triangular Meet.

The Sagehens ended the Mark Covert Invitational with an impressive third place finish as they finished with a score of 81. Cal St. Fullerton finished in first with a low score of 49 and Loyola Marymount took second with a score of 70.

The Sagehens were led by Andy Reischling who took the team's best time at 25.47, which landed him in ninth place overall. Julian DeGroot-Lutzner took the second best finish for the Sagehens as he took 14^th overall with a time of 26:10.5 and Jeremy Adams also ended with a top-20 finish as he took 17^th with a time of 26:14.

The next three Sagehens finished in a flock as Owen Woo took 26^th at 26:30.9, Hugo Ward finished in 27^th at 26:31.1 and Carter Stripp ended in 29^th overall with a time of 26:33.6. Shortly after, a second flock crossed the line as the trio of Nick Vucovich, Peter Davis and Adam Becker finished in 39^th, 40^th and 41^st with times of 26:47.5, 26:48.9 and 26:48.9, respectively.

Finishing up the day for Pomona-Pitzer was Daniel Rosen who took 52^nd with a time of 27:02.6, Nathan Stringham in 60^th at 27:09.7 and Daniel Hill in 78^th at 27:31.2.

The rest of the Sagehen team ran the previous day in the friendly Oxy-La Verne-PP Triangular Meet where Ethan Ashby finished with the top time of 20:12.00. Nicholas Beatty and Gabe Elliott each finished in the top-10 with Beatty at 6^th at 20:58.10 and Elliott at 8^th with a time of 20:59.

Edmund Havener and Kellen Browning finished back to back for 11^th and 12^th with Havener finishing at 21:11 and Browning at 21:15.

Ian Emlet finished in 16^th with a time of 21:33 and Nicholas Borowsky took 22^nd with a time of 22:02. Rounding out the day for Pomona-Pitzer was Aaron Gonzalez who took 25^th at 22:29 and Bukuru Anaclet and Nathan Gallatin who took 27^th and 28^th with times of 23:13 and 23:14.

The Sagehens next compete in the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday, September 16^th at 8:00 a.m.
