Men's XC Wins Eighth Straight NCAA West Regional

CLAREMONT, CA — The Pomona-Pitzer men's cross country team won its eighth straight NCAA West Regional Championships on Saturday morning.

The Sagehens totaled 43 points with four runners in the top fifteen. Colorado College and CMS finished second and third place with 73 and 80 points, respectively.

Jack Stein led Pomona-Pitzer with first place individual finish, running a time of 24:54.90. Jefferson Wright, Amir Barkan, and Peter Neid followed and finished 3rd, 8th, and 14th overall. Wright finished with 24:58.90, Barkan with 25:28.30, and Neid finished with a time of 25:42.80.

Tiernan Colby followed in 19th with a 25:50.40, Ian Sharp took 46th with a 26:41.10, and Nate Wehner finished 49th with an individual running time of 26:42.50.

Up Next: The Sagehens will compete at the NCAA National Championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday, November 22nd.
