CLAREMONT, CA — Six different Sagehens scored and the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Water Polo team rallied late, but the No. 11 Princeton Tigers added three goals in the final period to come away with an 11-6 win Tuesday night at Haldeman Pool.

Season Impact: The Sagehens drop to 7-15 overall. Pomona-Pitzer has played 13 games against ranked opponents this season. Princeton improves to 15-1 overall.

Princeton was led by 2016 Team USA Olympic Gold Medalist Ashleigh Johnson who totalled seven saves in the cage for the Tigers. Pomona-Pitzer's Ahsha Earwood finished with seven saves for the Sagehens.

After the Tigers took an early 2-0 lead, Natalie Hill got the Sagehens on the board to put the score at 2-1. Later in the second period, senior Chessa Burke found the back of the net, but Princeton's Haley Wan scored twice in the final two minutes of the quarter to give the Tigers a 7-2 lead at the break. 

Christina Williamson scored Pomona-Pitzer's lone goal in the third quarter, bouncing a shot under Johnson's arm with 3:59 remaining in the period to put the game at 7-3. 

Morgan McCracken, Esma Dollaku, and Anna Yu each scored for the Sagehens in the final period. McCracken also finished the game with an assist. 

Wan led Princeton with five goals.

Next Game: The Sagehens have a quick turnaround and return to SCIAC action tomorrow when the face the Occidental College Tigers at 4 p.m. in Taylor Pool.
