Los Angeles - The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Water Polo team fell 12-7 to Hartwick and 15-3 to eighth-ranked Loyola Marymount on the second day of the LMU Zumo Invite on Saturday.
With the losses, the Sagehens are now 14-11 on the season, after going 1-3 at the Zumo Invite this weekend.
Junior Mahalia Prater-Fahey had two goals for the Sagehens in the opening game against Hartwick, which jumped out to a 5-0 lead and scored the first three goals of the second half to pull ahead 9-2. Five other Sagehens had one goal apiece: Alyssa Woodward, Sarah Westcott, Megan Snow, Chrissie Alving-Trinh and Christina Williamson.
Woodward, Hope Grant and Williamson had the Pomona-Pitzer goals in the Loyola Marymount loss, as the Lions jumped out to a 9-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Sallie Walecka (pictured) saw the action in goal and had 13 saves against Hartwick and seven against the Lions.
Pomona-Pitzer will be back in action on Tuesday when it hosts Brown for a 4 p.m. contest at Haldeman Pool.
