The Sagehen men's basketball team advanced to the SCIAC Championship game Friday night with a 74-71 double overtime victory over the Kingsmen of Cal Lutheran. The Sagehens will face 6th street rival Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Ducey Gymnasium Saturday at 7:30 pm, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

The second seeded Sagehens needed 50 minutes to secure victory as senior Justin Sexton paced the Hens with 29 points on 11 of 21 shooting. Senior David Liss added 13 and senior Adam Chaimowitz chipped in with nine, all at critical junctures of the game. This was the third time these two team faced off against each other, with the road team winning the previous two.
