At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his junior year as a member of the Sagehens Swimming and Diving team in the winter, where his top events are the 100-yard breaststroke and the 50-yard freestyle...Missed most of his freshman year with an injury...Also has played on the football team in the fall and the track team in the spring…Ranks ninth in school history in the 100 breast with a 59.86...2014-15: SCIAC All-Academic team...Qualified for the consolation finals in the 100 breast at the SCIAC Championships, finishing 17th with a 1:00.98...2013-14: Broke 1:00 in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 59.86, ranking him seventh in school history, one of only seven swimmers in school history to break the 1:00 mark (four of whom swam on the 2013-14 team)...High School: Attended Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado, where was a member of the football and swimming teams, earning letters all four years in both sports and serving as a team captain in both as a senior...Named the Fairview Male Athlete of the Year for the 2011-12 year, as well as earning the Spirit of Fairview Award...Also earned Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors and an Academic All-America honor from the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association...National Honor Society member...Also swam for the Rallysport Aquatics Swim Team, where he was a sectional qualifier for three straight years...A first-team all-region selection in football with six interceptions and two fumble recoveries...Personal: Attending Pomona College, where he plans to major in physics...Has one sister...Grandfather played football at Tulane...Has a cousin playing football at Temple, and another cousin playing softball at Widener...Hobbies include working out and reading...Favorite books are the Jack Reacher series...Favorite movie is The Usual Suspects...Lists Kurt Warner as the public figure he most admires...Plans to attend graduate school in biomedical engineering...Volunteered at the Boulder Humane Society...Chose Pomona for the "great academics, beautiful location, and the ability to compete in two sports."
