Biography

At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his fourth season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Swimming team, where he competed in the backstroke and freestyle events...Graduated with seven school records - three individual (100 back, 200 back, 200 individual medley) and four relays (200 free, 400 free, 200 medley, 400 medley)...His 100 back record is 49.68, his 200 back is 1:49.15 and his 200 IM record is 1:53.67...Relay records include the 200-yard medley (1:35.79), the 400-yard medley (3:29.73), the 200-yard freestyle (1:24.82), and the 400-yard freestyle (3:07.83)...Also has the second-fastest time in program history in the 50-yard freestyle (20.80), falling just .03 shy of the school record in that event.

2011-12: All-SCIAC selection...Honorable mention All-American...CSCAA Scholar All-American...Broke his own school record in the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.15) at the Finis Collegiate Inivtational on Dec. 9, and then came back the next day to break the 200 IM record with a 1:53.67, which had stood for 23 years...Earned an automatic NCAA qualification in the 200 back, and a provisional "B" cut in the 200 IM and the 100 back...Named SCIAC Male Athlete of the Week on Dec. 12 after his performance at the Finis Invitational...Defended his SCIAC Championship in the 100-yard backstroke with a 50.77, while also coming in second in the 200 back (1:50.25) and 50 free (21.04). 

2010-11: All-SCIAC selection...Earned All-America honors in the backstroke...Helped the Sagehens to a 30th place team finish at the NCAA Division III Championships...Set school records in both the 100-yard backstroke (49.68) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.17) at the NCAA Championships.

2009-10: Recorded the second-fastest 50-yard freestyle time in Pomona-Pitzer history with a 20.96...Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the backstroke.

High School/Personal: Attended Boulder (Colorado) High School, where he competed on the swimming team...Attends Pomona College, where he majors in mathematics...Michael Jordan is his favorite athlete...Super Troopers is his favorite movie.
