CLAREMONT, Calif. – Pomona-Pitzer Athletics has announced a new athletic training staff, welcoming Sierra Kemock, Rayna Harrison and Krista Jones as Assistant Athletic Trainers under newly appointed Director of Sports Medicine Joe Gonzalez.

Harrison joins Pomona-Pitzer following more than five years at Concordia University Irvine, where she served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer after beginning with the program as a graduate assistant. During her time at Concordia, she provided care for women's indoor volleyball, cross country, men's indoor volleyball, track and field and other student athletes while also serving as the department's concussion coordinator, supervising student interns and working as a clinical preceptor. She has also provided travel coverage for professional track athletes through Heartland Track Club. Harrison earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of La Verne and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Coaching and Exercise Science from Concordia University Irvine.

Jones joins the Sagehens after serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Occidental College, where she provided care for softball, track and field, cross country, women's soccer, and swim and dive. Her responsibilities included injury evaluation, rehabilitation, return to play decisions, communication with coaches and medical professionals, and medical documentation. Jones also gained extensive clinical experience at the University of La Verne, Caltech, Orange Coast College, Mount San Antonio College, Chapman University and Servite High School. She earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Cal State Fullerton in 2025 after completing her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Rehabilitation Science at Boise State University.

Kemock joins Pomona-Pitzer after completing her Master of Science in Athletic Training at California State University, Fullerton in May 2026. Her clinical experience includes work at Chapman University, Cypress College, Fullerton Junior College, Godinez Fundamental High School and Cal State San Bernardino. At Chapman, she independently evaluated injuries, developed rehabilitation programs, presented cases to team physicians and worked with student athletes across multiple sports. At Cypress College, she developed and implemented an evidence-based hamstring injury prevention program for men's soccer and collaborated with a registered dietitian nutritionist to provide nutrition education.

The new staff will work closely with Gonzalez, Pomona-Pitzer coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and campus partners to provide comprehensive care for Sagehen student athletes across all 21 varsity programs.

With the addition of Kemock, Harrison and Jones, Pomona-Pitzer enters the 2026-27 athletic season with a renewed focus on strengthening its sports medicine operation and supporting the health and performance of Sagehen student athletes.
