Krista Jones

Krista Jones joins the Pomona Pitzer sports medicine staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2026-27 season.

Jones comes to Pomona Pitzer after serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Occidental College, where she provided comprehensive medical care for softball, track and field, cross country, women's soccer, and swim and dive.

At Occidental, Jones was responsible for evaluating acute and chronic injuries, developing individualized rehabilitation programs, making return to play and practice participation decisions, and communicating with coaches and professional staff regarding student athlete health and rehabilitation.

Jones previously gained collegiate athletic training experience at the University of La Verne, Caltech, Orange Coast College and Chapman University. Her clinical work has included injury evaluation, rehabilitation, manual therapy, preventive taping, first aid and medical documentation across a wide range of sports.

A 2025 graduate of Cal State Fullerton, Jones earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Rehabilitation Science from Boise State University in 2022.

Jones is a Board of Certification certified athletic trainer and brings a student-centered approach to sports medicine focused on injury prevention, rehabilitation, communication and long term student athlete well-being.
