CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Women's Tennis team fell to Division 1 opponent Cal State Fullerton 4-0 on Thursday afternoon at the Pauley Tennis Complex.
Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens fall to 12-6 overall.
The Sagehens had one final tuneup match before their showdown with CMS against Division I opponent Cal State Fullerton. The Titans started by taking one point from the doubles matches with wins at #2 and #3 doubles. Samantha Moore-Thomson and Janie Marcus fell 6-4 while Nina Ye and Alex Coleman lost their match 6-1.
Moving on to the singles matches, Zoe Olmos of Cal State Fullerton defeated Angie Zhou at the #1 spot with a score of 6-2, 6-4.
In the #5 singles match, Kaytlin Taylor of Cal State Fullerton defeated Marissa Markey 6-4, 6-3 and the Titans clinched with another win at the #6 spot as Camila Garcia of Cal State Fullerton defeated Moore-Thomson 6-3, 6-4.
