Box Score CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Baseball team finished off their sweep of Linfield with a 9-0 win on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field.
Season Impact: with the win, the Sagehens start the year at 6-1 overall.
The Sagehens were led by Isaac Kim who went 4-5 in the win with two RBIs and four runs scored. Kevin Lo, Caleb Millikan, JC Ng, Ryan Nishi and Jack Damelio all had multi-hit games with Ng getting four RBIs as well.
Jake Hilton got his first collegiate win of his career as he went 7.2 inning and gave up no runs with three hits and eight strikeouts. Eric Prough came on to shut the door with 1.1 inning of relief work.
The Sagehens went scoreless through the first three innings before Damelio singled home Kim for the first run of the game. The Sagehens then plated three runs in the fifth with RBIs from Kim, Ng and Nishi to extend the lead to 4-0
Pomona-Pitzer added two more with RBIs from Kim and Nishi again in the seventh and Ng capped off the scoring with a bases clearing double to right center to end a high scoring series for the Sagehens and seal the big win.
