Berry, Gonzaga Dubbed CSC Academic All-America

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Cooper Berry earned CSC Academic All-America First Team honors while Kai Gonzaga was dubbed a Third Team member, the organization announced Tuesday. 
 
The CSC Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. Nomination for the award requires meeting minimum standards of both athletic participation and cumulative grade point average. 
 
Berry led the Sagehens with a .393 batting average, slashing .393/.528/.785 and recording 61 RBI, 17 home runs, 13 doubles and 60 runs scored. He posted a season-high eight RBI with two doubles in a win over La Verne on Apr. 28. Playing third base, he also totaled 65 assists and 27 putouts with a .939 fielding percentage. 
 
The Austin, Texas native earned a slew of accolades for the 2026 campaign, including ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-America and D3baseball Second Team All-America nods. He also earned D3baseball and ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region and First Team All-SCIAC. Berry was also named SCIAC Tournament MVP and D3baseball Team of the Week on Apr. 8 and May 6.
 
A Porter Ranch, California native, Gonzaga slashed .366/.509/.714 on the year with 69 RBI, 15 home runs, 14 doubles and one triple. He scored 63 runs, stole 13 bases and drew 42 walks. Gonzaga drove in a season-high five RBI twice, including on May 16 in an NCAA Regionals win over Pfeiffer. 
 
Gonzaga was also named an ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-American and Fourth Team All-America by D3baseball. He also earned D3baseball and ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region recognitions as well as an All-SCIAC Second Team nod. He was dubbed D3baseball Team of the Week in back-to-back weeks on Feb. 18 and Feb. 25.
