The Sagehens came back in the bottom half of the inning with some offense as Bedrosian doubled home a run and Jack Hanley followed up with an RBI single to extend the Sagehens' lead to 3-1 and chased out the starting pitcher.

The Sagehens added one more in the bottom of the sixth as Harry Deliyannis smacked a solo shot down the right field line to extend the lead to 4-1 but La Verne responded in their next at-bats with a solo homer of their own to bring the lead back down to two runs at 4-2. Bedrosian got the scoring going after he smacked a double off of the left center fence to bring in a run for the Sagehens to cut the lead down to 2-1. Pomona-Pitzer followed with RBI's from Deliyannis and Jack Damelio to come back and take the lead from the Leopards at 3-2.

The Leopards and Sagehens then went four scoreless frames until Pomona-Pitzer plated two more runs in the bottom of the seventh off of an error by the Leopards' defense and an RBI double by Quezada to extend the lead to 5-2.

Pomona-Pitzer tacked on three more insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth as Nishi drove home two on a single to left field and Bedrosian followed up with an RBI double to give the Sagehens an 8-2 lead.  The Sagehens' pitching staff shut out the Leopards for the final eight innings of the game as Pomona-Pitzer took the season series from La Verne.
