At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his freshman year as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Cross Country team…Finished in 36th place (out of 134) at the 2012 SCIAC Championships with a time of 27:53.86...Also had a 19th place finish (out of 131) at the SCIAC Multi-Duals with a 27:13.61...High School: Attended Albuquerque Academy, where he was a member of the cross country and track and field teams…Placed 11th in the New Mexico Cross Country State meet in 2011…Also placed 45th in the Nike Cross Southwest Regionals…Was third in both the 1600 meters and the 3200 meters at the New Mexico 4A State Track and Field Championships in 2012…Personal: Attending Pitzer College…Hobbies include skiing, rock climbing, hiking, camping and cliff jumping…Lists Nature by Ralph Waldo Emerson and Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Frederich Nietzsche as his favorite books…Mohandas Gandhi, The Dalai Lama and Martin Luther King, Jr. are the public figures he most admires…Participated in an 18-day community service trip to Udon Thani, Thailand…Chose Pitzer because “of its strong core values, its great study abroad programs, and the perks of being a member of the Claremont colleges.
