At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his junior year as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Cross Country team…Also runs on the Track and Field team in the spring, primarily in the 800 meters and 1500 meters…High School: Attended Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut, where he competed on the soccer, cross country and track teams…Served as a co-captain of the cross country and track teams as a senior…As a junior, placed ninth in the FAA league championships, 16th in the NEPSTA championships, helping the team to a second-place finish in both events…Was on a 4x400 relay team that qualified for the NEPSTA Championships for four straight years, earning a high of a fourth place finish as sophomore…Finished in third place in the 1500 meters as a senior…An AP Scholar and a National Spanish Exam gold medal recipient…Personal: Attends Pitzer College…Father played tennis at Princeton and mother played volleyball at Williams…Hobbies include running, cycling, backpacking, fishing and reading…Lists The Grapes Of Wrath, and almost every book by Jack Higgins as his favorite books…Favorite movies are Inception, Fight Club, Rush Hour 2, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy…Volunteered for the Leon Sister City Project, traveling to Nicaragua with group of students from Hopkins School and Horace Mann School in the summer after sophomore and junior years to teach and build in a small, impoverished community…Volunteered at St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, CT in the Pathology department…Also worked for five weeks at Footebridge, a program (held at the Foote School in New Haven, CT) with the goal of working with academically struggling children from New Haven…Chose Pitzer “because I wanted to go to a school where I would really have a chance to figure out what I'm most interested in, with a flexible curriculum, small class size, and plenty of course options. I also wanted a division 3 athletic school in order to continue my sports career in college.”
