Pomona-Pitzer Athletics

At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed his third season on the Pomona-Pitzer Water Polo team, where he is a defender.

2014: SCIAC All-Academic team...Ranked third on the team with 37 goals...Had a season-high five goals in a win over Iona...Led the Sagehens with six goals in the SCIAC Tournament, including three against La Verne...Also had three goals against nationally ranked Air Force.

2013: Earned ACWPC All-Academic Outstanding status...SCIAC All-Academic team...Scored 29 goals on the season, while playing a defensive role...Had a key goal late in the second overtime to key a comeback win over Chapman in the SCIAC quarterfinals...Led Sagehens with three goals in the SCIAC semifinals against Whittier...Scored in each of the first four matches of the season against No. 2 UCLA, No. 7 UC Santa Barbara, No. 10 UC San Diego and No. 1 USC...Had two goals in a win over Cal Baptist.

2012: WWPA All-Freshman team selection...Earned Superior Scholar All-America status from ACWPC...Tied for fourth on the Sagehens with 31 goals...Had his first collegiate goal against No. 1 USC, starting a five-game goal-scoring streak, all of which were against ranked teams (USC, Concordia, Long Beach State, UC Davis, UC Irvine)...Scored in a 12-11 win over No. 19 Santa Clara to give Sagehens fifth place at the WWPA Championships...Had five goals in a win over Caltech, tying the high total for any Sagehen all season...Scored twice in a home win over Harvard.

High School: Attended Floyd B. Buchanan High School in Clovis, California, where he competed on the water polo and swimming teams...Named the Fresno Bee Player of the Year, and earned NISCA All-America honorable mention honors...A California/Hawaii All-American third team selection in 2011, when he was also the Tri River Athletic Conference Player of the Year...A three-time CIF Central Section DI first-team All-Valley selection...Also a Fresno Bee first-team selection in swimming, when he was the Tri River Athletic Conference champion in the 50-yard freestyle...A National Merit finalist in the classroom.

Personal: Attending Pomona College, where he majors in chemistry and minors in mathematics...Has a particular interest in Organic Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry...Spent the summer (2015) serving a medicinal chemistry internship at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation...Has one sister.
