GAMBIER, OH. – The Sagehens fell 2-0 to Kenyon College on Thursday, suffering their first loss of the 2026 season.

Pomona-Pitzer created several opportunities early, with Blake Hartfelder recording a shot on goal in the 18th minute and Charles Leonard forcing a save from the Kenyon goalkeeper shortly after. Gavin Honey also came up with a key save in the 22nd minute to keep the match scoreless. Kenyon broke through in the 31st minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Sagehens continued to look for an equalizer, but the Owls took their advantage into halftime.
The Owls doubled their lead in the 56th minute. Hartfelder had another opportunity shortly after, but his shot was saved. Pomona-Pitzer continued to battle throughout the second half. Honey made another save in the 68th minute, while Ryo Kasai recorded a shot moments later as the Sagehens looked to get back into the match. Kenyon created several chances late, but Honey kept the Sagehens within reach with consecutive saves in the 82nd and 83rd minutes. The Sagehens continued to compete through the final whistle, but Kenyon held on for the 2-0 victory.
