CLAREMONT, Calif. — Pomona-Pitzer baseball defeated Pacific University 17-6 and 19-12 Saturday to sweep the series 3-0 over the Boxers.
Season Impact: The wins put the Sagehens at 3-0 on the 2026 season.

Jack Gold led Pomona-Pitzer in game one with five hits in five at-bats, blasting two homers, a double and two singles for four RBI.
Will Parker also posted four RBI, including a three-run homer, while
Sammy Lee added a solo home run.
Will Polishuk was credited with the win from the mound, going 6.0 innings and fanning a career-high eight batters while giving up just four hits.
The Sagehens struck first in the bottom of the opening frame, with
Tanner DeGrazia and Parker each notching an RBI sac fly and
Peter Savas earning a bases-loaded walk. Parker then belted a three-run shot in the second to make it 6-0 Sagehens.
Pomona-Pitzer added five runs in the third, with Lee starting the scoring with a solo shot to center.
Lateef Wakil posted a two-run double before Gold hit a two-run blast. The Sagehens added five more runs in the fourth, making it 16-1. Wakil was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded before
Greg Pierantoni notched two RBI and reached on a fielders' choice. Gold then belted his second two-run homer of the game.
Savas added an RBI double to left center in the bottom of the fifth to make it 17-1 Sagehens. The Boxers scored five runs in the final two frames but it wasn't enough, as Pomona-Pitzer came away with the run-rule 17-6 victory in seven innings.

Pierantoni and DeGrazia paced the team in the final game of the three-game series with four RBI apiece.
Cooper Berry went 3-for-4 with an RBI while
Kai Gonzaga posted three RBI. Gold, Parker and
Drew Dillehay each notched two RBI.
Max Brunngraber was credited with the win from the mound, going 1.1 innings in relief and striking out three without giving up a hit.
Pacific got on the board first with two runs in the opening frame before the Sagehens opened the floodgates in the bottom of the second, scoring 15 runs in the frame. Dillehay, Gonzaga, Pierantoni, DeGrazia, Parker and Berry recorded RBI in the inning, with DeGrazia blasting a three-run homer.
The Boxers scored six unanswered to come back within seven, 15-8, before Savas earned a bases-loaded walk in the fourth. Pacific then scored four straight but Pierantoni hit an RBI double and Gold belted a two-run shot in the fifth. Pomona-Pitzer came away with the 19-12 win.
Up Next: Pomona-Pitzer will remain at Alumni Field next weekend to take on Whitworth and Kalamazoo. The Sagehens will first take on Whitworth Feb. 13-14 in a three-game series before hosting Kalamazoo for a single game on Feb. 15.
