SEWANEE, TN. – The Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens women's tennis team fell 0-7 to Middlebury on Friday afternoon in the First Round of the ITA indoors.
The Panthers claimed the doubles point after earning wins at No. 1 and No. 3. In singles play, Middlebury swept all six courts to complete the team victory. Rha competed at No. 1 singles, while Bazua Vazquez followed at No. 2, but both fell in straight sets. Mireille Chedid-Daley battled at No. 3 and pushed her match into a competitive second set before ultimately dropping the contest. Meha Chaudhary competed in a tightly contested match at No. 4, extending play deep into the second set, but Middlebury secured the point.
Up Next: The Sagehens will take on Wesleyan University in the consolation game of the ITA indoors. The game will be on Saturday Feb 28 at 5:00 p.m. CT.
